What happened

Gaurav Pant is set to leave Apollo at the end of the year, according to sources who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information. Apollo declined to comment on the personnel move. Pant is a partner based in Singapore and has been a key figure in the firm's hybrid efforts across Asia.

Why he matters

Pant helped establish Apollo's private credit presence in Singapore and was among the early group behind the firm's Hybrid Value platform, which rolled out globally in 2018. That strategy takes a more flexible route than a classic buyout fund, supplying debt and structured equity to founders who want to build their businesses without giving up control.
